I don't know if any of you are Hugh Laurie fans, (actually, I do know, and for the few of you who aren't, you should be) but he's written a book called
The Gun Seller. It. Is. AMAZING! ...probably one of the best books I've ever read. It's actually quite disgusting how one man can be so talented in so many fields. Anyway, it's technically a crime novel, but it's ridiculously funny too. At first, I was a little afraid that I would really only enjoy it because it's funny, but his plot development and timing are incredible. He actually got me to pause, consider how things might go one way, and then they went somewhere completely different. It's just ingenious. I don't know if I'm making much sense, but I can't get over how brilliant this book is. He also supposedly has a sequel, entitled
The Paper Soldier, coming out 27 September, but that date has been confirmed by no one, including Hugh Laurie himself. So we'll see. But in the mean time, pick up a copy of
The Gun Seller; it's got my (and therefore Stephen Colbert's) seal of approval.
